Despite Under Fire for Tax Evasion, Neymar Buys $9 Million Jet
Neymar has to pay 63.6 billion reals ($16 million) in taxes on undeclared income between fiscal years 2011 and 2013.

Brazilian football star Neymar has bought a Cessna 680 plane valued at $9.1 million, the media reported on Friday.

The purchase was made through a mortgage signed with the company Bir Participacoes, according to a document published by the website of the newspaper O Globo on Friday, reports Xinhua.

The Cessna 680 is a medium-sized business jet that can carry up to 12 people.

In February, the Brazilian Federal Justice ordered blocking the accounts and assets of Neymar in order to guarantee payment of possible fines in cases open against the player for alleged tax evasion.

The Brazilian authorities have asked Neymar to pay 63.6 billion reals ($16 million) in taxes on undeclared income between fiscal years 2011 and 2013, concerning his transfer from Santos to Barcelona.

Among the assets of which the footballer can use but not sell are a $3.8 million helicopter, a yacht and another plane.
