Chelsea accept Man United's 37-million-pound bid for Juan Mata
According to The Telegraph, Mata is scheduled to undergo a medical on Thursday to seal the dramatic move in the mid-season transfer window.

Juan Mata is on his way to Manchester United after the playmaker's current club Chelsea accepted a 37-million-bid transfer bid for his immediate release to Old Trafford, The Telegraph has reported.

According to reports, Mata is scheduled to undergo a medical on Thursday to put a stamp on the dramatic move in the mid-season transfer window. Mata's transfer from the Blues camp to the Red Devils will add considerably to his pocket.

Mata's 70000-pound weekly salary at Stamford Bridge will see a hike of more than 100 per cent at Old Trafford.

United were expected to make an offer since the start of this week and met immediate acceptance from Chelsea when they finally made it on Wednesday.

The newspaper has also reported that Blues' coach Jose Mourinho has sanctioned the move.

It has also been reported that Mourinho felt that United's offer was too huge to be refused, which means Mata will not have to ask Mourinho to leave Stamford Bridge. Chelsea expediting the transfer is because they want to find a replacement before the January window closes on Jan 31.
