Ancelotti shows up at match-fixing trial

Naples: Newly crowned Premier League champion Carlo Ancelotti has shown up to testify in the criminal trial into the Italian match-fixing scandal.

Ancelotti clinched the title with Chelsea on Sunday and was called in as a witness Tuesday in the trial that includes former Juventus executive Luciano Moggi and former referee selector Paolo Bergamo as defendants.

While Ancelotti was coach, Milan was penalized eight points during the 2006-07 Serie A season for its role in the scandal.
