Anya Taylor-Joy completely owned the spotlight at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with her awestruck presence. The starlet graced the event for the premiere of her film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga in a stunning strapless golden ball gown that screamed pure elegance. It was like witnessing a modern-day fairytale princess stepping onto the red carpet.
Anya’s dress was the epitome of glam – a custom Dior creation inspired by Christian Dior’s iconic la robe “Mexico” from the 1957 fall collection. This stunner hugged her curves with a strapless corseted bodice and a cinched waist, then flared out in a cute A-line skirt that totally slayed. Her gown was covered in tiny white crystals, showing us that you can never have too much bling.
Ryan Hastings, the renowned stylist, worked wonders with Anya’s accessories, truly elevating her look to another level of glam. She donned round cluster earrings that added just the right amount of sparkle. Around her neck, a sculptural three-layer necklace made a bold statement. And let’s not forget her fingers, adorned with two massive diamond rings. Every piece of her jewellery was sourced from the prestigious jewelry brand Tiffany & Co.
Anya’s makeup was straight-up classic, giving off major timeless vibes. Her dazzling eye makeup featured a silver eyeshadow paired with a killer cat-eye liner, adding some serious drama to her look. The contouring on her flawless skin accentuated all the right features while a dark red lip shade sealed the deal with the utmost perfection.
To top it all off, her luscious icy-blonde locks were styled into a chic bun, adding the perfect finishing touch with pure finesse.

Anya’s gown was a true labour of love, requiring a staggering 1,200 hours of delicate embroidery by talented artisans at the Lesage workshops. Notably, it took nearly 850 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to bring the design to life. Interestingly, the original “Mexico” gown was once donned by the iconic actress and model Carmen Dell’Orefice.
Anya never fails to impress with her unique and enchanting styles. During the premiere of her film in Sydney, Australia, she turned heads in a striking gold and silver minidress paired with a headpiece adorned with arrow-like spikes. The dress was from Paco Rabanne’s spring/summer 1996 collection.
