Railways Roll Out ‘Rail Rakshak Dal’
An innovative emergency response system known as ‘Rail Rakshak’ was unveiled by Indian Railways’ North Western Railway zone. This state-of-the-art road-based rescue squad is built especially to handle track-related incidents in difficult and remote track sites. When tracks are disturbed due to an accident, traditional track-based emergency response systems like rail ambulances and cranes frequently struggle to get to incident sites quickly because of India’s vast rail network, which crosses a variety of terrains including hills, jungles, tunnels and remote areas. The Rail Rakshak system employs customised trucks, cutting-edge machinery, and a committed group of professionals known as the ‘Rail Rakshak Dal’ to overcome these restrictions.
