The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotional Board (UPPRPB) has announced the UP Police Constable re-examination dates. As per the schedule, the written examination for the recruitment of 60,244 posts of police constables will be conducted on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31. This time the exam will be conducted in five phases.
Due to the Janmashtami festival, there will be a break in the exam schedule. The exam will be held in two shifts each day, with approximately five lakh candidates appearing in each shift. All candidates appearing for the re-examination can check the exam schedule on the official website, uppbpb.gov.in.
Earlier, the exam was held on February 17 and 18 but later cancelled due to a paper leak. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while cancelling the exam had said that the investigation would be handed over to STF and had ordered to conduct re-examination within six months.
The constable recruitment re-exam will be conducted under the new anti-paper leak law, as per the official notice. That is, if any kind of unfair means are used in the exam, action will be taken under the new law against those who leak the paper, solvers, and those who conspire to leak the paper. If found guilty, there is a provision of a fine of one crore rupees, life imprisonment, or both.
DG Police Recruitment Rajiv Krishna said that now the constable recruitment exam is being conducted under the new law. The new law has a provision of life imprisonment and a fine of one crore rupees for those who leak the paper, solvers, and those who conspire to leak the paper.
He said that this time the exam will not be conducted in private schools and colleges. Every effort will be made to conduct the exam only in government schools, colleges, and universities. Candidates appearing for the exam will get free service of UP buses, however, candidates will have to give a photocopy of their admit card to the conductor.
