SSC Junior Engineer Paper 2 Exam Date Announced, Check Details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam dates for the Junior Engineer(JE) Paper 2 exam. As per schedule, the commission will administer Paper 2 of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) exam on November 6, 2024. Candidates can check the SSC official website, ssc.gov.in.

The official announcement reads, “The Commission has decided to conduct Paper II of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2024 on the 6th of November, 2024.” This year, SSC announced 968 openings for Junior Engineer positions in departments like Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical. The Staff Selection Commission announced 1324 SSC JE openings in total last year.

SSC JE 2024: Steps to Download Admit Card

Step 1: Go to ssc.gov.in, the SSC’s official website.

Step 2: From the homepage, click the JE (paper 2) admit card link.

Step 3: The screen will change to a new page.

Step 4: Enter the requested credentials including the registration number and password and click submit.

Step 5: The screen will display your paper 2 admit card.

Step 6: Review the information, download it, and print it off for your future records.

On August 20, the commission announced the Paper 1 results. The dates of the SSC JE (Paper 1) exam were from June 5 to June 7. Following the successful completion of Paper 1, qualified candidates will be allowed to take the SSC JE (Paper 2) test.

SSC JE 2024: Exam Pattern

Tier 1 and Tier 2 comprise the two portions of the SSC JE exam. The General Intelligence and Awareness, Reasoning, and subject-specific (Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical) questions consist of the SSC JE Tier 1 exam. The SSC JE Paper 2 will take two hours to complete and will be worth 300 marks, consisting of 100 questions in total. It will mostly cover General Engineering in the chosen subject and be conducted in a computer-based method.
