The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has rolled out the list of exam cities chosen for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) this year. Apart from the 229 exam centres in India, the institute has announced that it will conduct the entrance exam at three new exam centres abroad. These exam centres include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Kathmandu.
Eligible candidates who have qualified for JEE Main 2024 and achieved a rank in the top 2.5 lahks can apply for the JEE Advanced application form 2024 through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The IIT Madras commenced the registration process on April 27, and candidates have until May 7 to submit the forms.
It is to be noted that applicants will have to select eight exam cities of their choice in the order of preference during the application process. Those who have already selected and paid the fee for centres in India will be provided with the opportunity to correct their centre and country choices. In addition to that, candidates must keep in mind that the registration fee is different for exam centres in India and overseas.
JEE Advanced 2024: Step by Step Instructions to fill the application form
Step 1: Go to the IIT JEE’s official website at jeeadv.ac.in.
Step 2: Under the important announcements section, tap on the ‘Click here’ button available under the title ‘Online registration for all eligible candidates.’
Step 3: Upon clicking, aspirants will be redirected to the application portal.
Step 4: Enter your JEE Main 2024 application number, password and the displayed security pin to register.
Step 5: Fill in the required details in the application form and make the payment of the prescribed application fees.
Step 6: Scan and upload the following documents: Mark sheet of class 10/birth certificate, Class 12 or equivalent mark sheet, Category certificate, Persons having less than 40 percent disability and having difficulty in writing certificate, Scribe request letter, Compensatory time request letter, DS certificate, OCI, PIO Card, Foreign Passport or Citizenship certificate.
Step 7: Once done, hit the submit button and save a copy of the application form.
Meanwhile, the JEE Advanced 2024 is all set to be conducted on May 26. The JEE Advanced question paper will consist of two papers: paper 1 and paper 2. After the completion of the JEE Advanced exam, candidates can check the copy of their responses through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in on May 31. The provisional answer key will be published by the institute online on June 2. However, the feedback and comments on the provisional answer keys will be recorded from June 2 to 3. According to the IIT Madras, the JEE Advanced 2024 final answer key and results will be announced on June 9.
