CUET UG 2024: It is recommended that candidates thoroughly go through the following instructions to grasp the guidelines for the CUET exam day in order to prevent any unneeded problems

The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 exam admit card has been made available by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students who have applied for the exam can download their hall ticket on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. It is to be noted that NTA has rescheduled the CUET UG for Delhi centres to May 29 from today due to “unavoidable issues.” It is recommended that candidates thoroughly go through the following instructions to grasp the guidelines for the CUET exam day to prevent any unneeded problems.

The National Testing Agency will offer a seven-day hybrid mode (pen and paper or computer-based test) for the CUET 2024 exam. The dates of the CUET UG 2024 test are May 15–May 24, 2024. The exam will be conducted at various locations across the nation (380 cities), including 26 places outside India.

CUET UG 2024: Dress Code

— Any light clothes with long sleeves are prohibited.

— If candidates arrive at the examination centre wearing traditional or cultural attire, they should report at least one hour in advance of the last reporting time. This will allow for a proper frisking procedure to take place without causing the applicant any inconvenience and preserve the integrity of the exam.

— Low-heeled sandals and slippers are acceptable. Candidates are not allowed to wear shoes.

CUET UG 2024: Items Prohibited

— Any type of gadget or electronic device.

— Wallets or purses.

— Blank white paper or a printed notepad.

— Any type of jewellery, including necklaces, chains, earrings, bangles, nose pins, hair bands, etc.

— Tie shoes or closed sandals.

CUET UG 2024: Things to Carry

— Get a copy of the admission card and fill up the appropriate sections with your self-declaration.

— Carry any legitimate ID as verification with the admit card.

— It is also necessary to have a photo with you so that it can be pasted on the attendance sheet during the exam.

— Candidates for PwDB must bring a valid medical certificate to the exam location.

— Candidates are permitted to bring a water bottle, but it must be transparent. Students need to remember that the pen they will be using needs to be transparent as well.

CUET UG 2024: Exam Day Guidelines

— Applicants should ensure they have all required documents, including their valid ID and admit card.

— It is suggested that applicants arrive at the testing location one to two hours prior to the start of the entrance exam. They will not be permitted entry into the CUET 2024 exam centre thirty minutes before the exam starts.

— A compensating period of twenty minutes will be given to candidates with physical disabilities (PwD) for each hour of the exam.

— Since the CUET has negative markings, candidates should be extremely cautious while attempting any answers.

— Students are required to attach a current photo to the CUET admit card by themselves.

— Candidates will not be permitted to enter the testing centre without the admit card.

— The majority of objects are not permitted within the examination centre, thus candidates should bring as few items as possible.

CUET UG 2024: Exam Pattern

There will be fifteen subjects in the OMR format exam. The duration of the CUET exam ranges from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the subject. There will be a 60-minute time slot dedicated to the General Test paper in addition to other disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, etc. The time for other disciplines, such as geography, sociology, Hindi, English, etc., will be 45 minutes.
