BPSC Alerts Aspirants About Scammers Demanding Money For Merit List Inclusion

It is being reported that candidates looking forward to BPSC teacher recruitment are receiving fake phone calls. In such a situation, the Bihar Public Service Commission has taken some measures, aimed to stop the instances compromising the safety of the candidates. To know more read the article below.

As per more reports, the candidates are being asked to provide money from the culprits, who are trying to extract it by lying about the merit list; informing them that they can get their names included. It is being done to the aspirants involved in the third phase of the teacher recruitment examination. It is being reported that the callers have all the personal details of the candidates. Going by more reports, the scammers are demanding a sum between Rs 40,000 to Rs 80,000, to secure a name in the merit list or for the candidate’s district selection.

So, the BPSC has reported the matter to the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar police. They are now expected to investigate the matter further. According to more information given, the commission has provided a mobile number, where the candidates can complain about the fake phone calls received or anything related to it like job offers, exam qualifications and more. The number provided is 8986422296.

Furthermore, the BPSC has issued a warning to the students as well as the parents, to be alert about such phone calls and protect themselves from a trap. The commission stated further that those who end up giving money out of greed will not be spared. The authorities will take strict action against them. It could debar the aspirants from appearing for examinations in the future, more reports say. While the parents will have to face financial penalties.

According to the commission, for those who spread rumours about the issue, strict action will be taken against them. As per the information, the individuals or organisations involved could face FIR against them. It could include social media sites like YouTube channels or educational institutions.
