Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar received a standing ovation from the capacity crowd at Centre Court as he took some time off to enjoy an afternoon at Wimbledon on Saturday.
The master blaster graced the famous Centre Court as Alexander Zverev and Cameron Norrie played the round three game on Saturday afternoon. The crowd went berserk when the presenter announced Tendulkar’s name and his achievements with the legend standing and acknowledging the crowd.
“We are also joined by legend of the game from India, another World Cup winner and the all-time run-scorer in cricket history. Please welcome Sachin Tendulkar,” the announcer could be heard saying in the video.

It was a cricketers’ day out at the Centre Court as England’s Test and white-ball captains Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, former skipper Joe Root were also present among the attendees in the Royal Box, sitting just behind Tendulkar.

Meanhwile, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also attended the All England Club and shared the Royal Box with the stars from the world of cricket. Guardiola was also joined by former Three Lions head coach Roy Hodgson. Captain of the English women’s football team Leah Williamson, with her father David, was present at The All England Lawn Tennis Club to see the action on the centre court.

Former rugby stars Lawrence Dallaglio and Sir Gareth Edwards were also in attendance to watch Norrie’s match with Zverev on Centre Court.
