Much like last season, the onus will be on the big-name players in the squad to pull together a string of performances to help the side get points consistently. Their batting unit is the strongest it has ever been with Faf du Plessis and Kohli opening, followed by their big-money signing Cameron Green, the Indian talent Rajat Patidar who will look to put his woes in the recent Test series vs England behind him, Maxwell, and DK.

Another big point to note is that the coming IPL will be the last for their wicketkeeper batter, Dinesh Karthik who has held down the role as the finisher ever since he returned to the side in 2022.

The side will open their season against CSK followed by the Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants at home and then a trip to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur to take on the Rajasthan Royals in the first phase of the tournament.
