Watch: Oman Pacer Kaleemullah Gives a Fiery Send-off To David Warner

Oman pacer Kaleemullah broke into a wild celebration after dismissing David Warner in a T20 World Cup 2024 clash against Australia in Barbados on Wednesday.

The bowling unit of Oman produced a commendable show to keep Australia batters from exploding.

After Australia lost three wickets cheaply, Warner gave himself time to deal with the the tricky surface in Barbados.

The opener struck six fours and a six to register 56 runs off 51 balls.

Warner combined with Marcus Stoinis for a 102-run stand before losing his wicket to Kaleemullah in the penultimate ball of the 19th over.

The Oman speedster bowled a short-length delivery pitching outside the off-stump. Warner attempted a big shot while trying to clear the boundary over the long-off. He, however, failed to connect it properly and ended up being caught by Shoaib Khan.

Kaleemullah was seen kicking the turf and giving a fiery look to Warner, who was making his way off the field.

However, users weren’t impressed with Kaleemullah’s antics.

“Bro who just got international attention for the first time is giving a send-off to an all-format legend in his career’s final days,” wrote one user.

Another quipped that if Kaleemullah did the same thing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he would have been handed a “three-year ban.”

Meanwhile, Warner achieved a historic feat in the group league match against Oman as he surpassed former captain Aron Finch to become Australia’s all-time leading run-scorer in T20 Internationals.

The veteran has played 104 T20Is and has recorded 3,155 runs including 27 half-centuries and a hundred.

Meanwhile, Finch, who led Australia to their maiden T20 World Cup triumph in 2021, featured in 103 T20Is during his illustrious career to register 3,120 runs.

Warner will look to continue his sublime form when Australia take on their arch-rivals England in the next T20 World Cup game on June 8 in Barbados.
