As the players prepare themselves for the upcoming edition of the WPL 2024, Delhi Capitals skipper, Meg Lanning and the Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan were seen having a fun moment ahead of the tournament.

Ahead of the opening festivities, King Khan was seen spending some time with Lanning as the former Australian cricketer was seen mimicking SRK’s iconic pose. As the two shared the fun moment, the other members of the Delhi Capitals camp were seen cheering the two on.
Meg Lanning was the skipper of the Capitals in the inaugural season of the WPL. She led the side to the finals of the tournament but fell short as they lost the trophy to the Mumbai Indians led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
In the previous season, Delhi Capitals were arguably the best side in the tournament, finishing top in the points table on net run rate (NRR). Both DC and MI had racked up six wins each, losing two games but the Capitals went on top of the table due to their superior NRR after the eight league-stage fixtures.
The Delhi franchise have an array of talents in both the Indian and foreign slots. The likes of Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma among the senior Indian players. For their foreign talents, including Lanning they have the likes of Annabel Sutherland and Marizanne Kapp and more.
The side will open their campaign as they take on the Mumbai Indians once again in what is a replay of the 2023 finals. The Capitals will look to start strong and put their woes from the previous season’s finals and start afresh.
But before they get their season underway, the much-awaited festivities will be underway to add to the glitz and glamour of what is proving to be the best franchise-based T20 tournament for Women’s cricket.
