The TATA Group previously held the title sponsorship rights for the IPL in 2022 and 2023 and is also the title sponsor of the Women’s Premier League.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that TATA Group has acquired the title sponsorship rights for the Indian Premier League. The Tata Group held the title right in the 2022 and 2023 editions but for the next five seasons, they broke the record with a value of INR 2500 crore—the highest-ever sponsorship amount in the history of the league. They will pay INR 500 crore per season.

The TATA Group previously held the title sponsorship rights for the IPL in 2022 and 2023 and is also the title sponsor of the Women’s Premier League, the biggest women’s T20 league in the world.

Earlier, News18 CricketNext understood that Tata Group has matched the valuation that the Aditya Birla Group presented.

It was in 2022 when the Tata Group replaced Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo as the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. They paid INR 365 crore per season in their last deal but the amount is expected to be bigger in the new deal for the next 5 years.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah shared his views on the record-breaking partnership with the TATA Group.

“We are elated to announce the partnership with the TATA Group as the Title Sponsors of the IPL. The league has transcended borders, captivating audiences worldwide with its unmatched blend of skill, excitement, and entertainment.
