The repercussions of Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024 continue to impact the squad. Weeks after the shocking exit, Geo News reported that Afridi has misbehaved with his coaches and management staff during recent tours.

The media outlet’s sources claimed a probe was underway over why managers responsible for maintaining team discipline refrained from taking action against the left-arm pacer’s attitude.

As per reports, Pakistan limited-overs head coach Kirsten submitted a report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Afridi’s series of poor behaviour dating back to the T20I series against Ireland and through to the T20 World Cup 2024.

Further, it is being said that no action has been taken against the pacer as he continued to misbehave while there are allegations of lobbying too.

PCB has already announced the removal of Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz from the national selection committee. Razzaq had served in both the men’s and women’s selection committees.

Pakistan had a forgettable world cup as they crashed out from the first round itself losing to India and USA with their sole victory coming against Canada.
