Jadeja, who is playing his 74th Test for India against Bangladesh in Kanpur these days, became the third Indian cricketer to score 3000 runs and take 300 wickets in Tests on Monday.

World No. 1 Test all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja joined former Indian captain Kapil Dev and legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in an elite list on Monday (September 30) by becoming the third Indian cricketer in history to score 3000 runs and take 300 wickets in Tests.

The 35-year-old Jadeja achieved the feat by dismissing Khaled Ahmed in the first innings of the ongoing 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh at Green Park in Kanpur.

Khaled was the last Bangladeshi batter to get out in the first innings. He was caught and bowled by Jadeja.

Kapil was the first Indian cricketer to do the double of 3000 runs and 300 wickets in Tests, and Ashwin joined him in the elite list in December 2022.

Kapil finished his 131-match long Test career with 5248 runs and 434 wickets, whereas Ashwin has 3422 runs and 524 wickets in 102 matches played so far.
