Trent Boult took a stunning one-handed catch in the ILT20 match between MI Emirates and the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

The International League T20 (ILT20) witnessed a remarkable moment as the MI Emirates’ Trent Boult pulled off a one-handed stunner against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. The 12th match of the ILT20 saw the Emirates take on the Knight Riders yesterday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

During the 18th over of the first innings, Knights’ Laurie Evans decided to blast one of Fazalhaq Farooqi’s deliveries towards long off. However, an ever-ready Boult eyed the flying ball perfectly as he pulled off a dive and rolled down to complete a beautiful catch off his left hand. This led to Evans returning to the dressing room for a duck having faced two balls.

The video of the catch has now gone viral on social media with several fans deeming it to be one of the greatest catches in the history of ILT20. One of them described it as, “A superman’s catch”.

Laurie Evans had come out to bat just two balls earlier. He lofted the delivery by Afghanistan international, Fazalhaq Farooqi high in the air, but it did not get the distance and Trent Boult managed to run towards the area left of long-off to take a blinder of a catch to push MI Emirates to close the bowling innings strong.
