Heinrich Klaasen has already taken up a special place in the hearts of the Sunrisers Hyderabad faithful.

Heinrich Klaasen seems to have become a new hero for the Sunrisers Hyderabad fans. The South African international joined the Orange franchise ahead of the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was retained for the ongoing edition and the decision has been proven right. Klaasen has already occupied a special place in the hearts of the SRH faithful, who have been entertained by his big-hitting prowess on several occasions this season. The wicketkeeper-batter recently encountered a huge number of fans inside a shopping mall in Hyderabad.

A video featuring the crazy scene was dropped on social media and took no time to become viral. A fan dropped the clip on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Heinrich Klaasen. The Official Demigod Of Telugu States.” The Proteas cricketer was accompanied by his SRH teammate Jaydev Unadkat. The duo was perhaps at the mall for a promotional event.

Heinrich Klaasen looks to be in the form of this life in this IPL. He has featured in nine games this season, aggregating 295 runs at a stunning average of 42.14. He has batted at a strike rate of over 185. Klaasen has smashed as many as 28 sixes and four boundaries while registering a fifty-plus score three times during the campaign.

Heinrich Klaasen played a pivotal role in Sunrisers Hyderabad recording the highest total (287 runs) in IPL history. The feat was achieved against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a home match. Travis Head might be the star of the night but Klaasen also made a great impact. While Head built the foundation with a centurion knock, Klaasen wrapped up the innings in style with a blazing 67 runs which scored in just 31 balls.

Klaasen appeared at his devastating best in a match against Mumbai Indians. The South African slammed an unbeaten 80 off 34 deliveries as SRH produced 277 at a loss of three wickets in the home fixture. His knock was laced with four boundaries and seven sixes. Klaasen, however, looked quite pale in the last game where SRH suffered a humiliating 78-run defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings.
