Gautam Gambhir and Sunil Narine Elated and Lift Each Other Up After KKR Secures IPL 2024 Title - WATCH

It is time for celebrations for the Kolkata Knight Riders camp as they clinched their third title by beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the finals of the Indian Premier League 2024 which took place at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

KKR’s mentor and former skipper, Gautam Gambhir was in his jovial self as he was in a celebratory mood after clinching the title. He was seen on video sharing a moment with Sunil Narine as they lifted each other to share the happiness after ending their decade-long drought of winning the title.

Gambhir has all the reason to be proud of Narine who managed to put in the performance of a lifetime with what is arguably an all-round performance with both bat and ball through the season.

Gambhir had told Narine that he would have to prepare to open the batting for the side and was seen backing the all-rounder to come out with flying colours.

But before the season, Narine was under a lot of pressure after coming off the back of some sub-par performances in the last couple of seasons and his batting had taken a massive hit has well.

But the return of Gautam Gambhir proved to be the difference needed and Narine went on to score his best tally for the season which gave KKR their opportunity to go all the way to the final. Despite not performing much on the batting front through the playoffs, he was still pivotal with the ball and chipped in with wickets as well.

Narine has ended the season being in the top-10 bowling and batting charts indicating what has been an outstanding all-round performance for the Knight Riders which led them to their third title.
