England batting legend Kevin Pietersen was spotted feasting upon one of Delhi’s classic delicacies.
Amid the busy Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, the cricketer-turned-commentator took some time out to explore authentic Indian cuisines.
He shared a picture of himself on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) seated in one of Delhi’s restaurants and having Chole Bhature.
This classic combination of fried bread with chickpea curry is one of the most popular breakfast items in the country. In the photograph, Pietersen can be seen rocking a powder blue polo t-shirt as he dives into the Indian delicacy.
He asked his followers to guess the dish he was having.
“Name the food? A favourite Delhi Delicacy! Yum yum!”, he wrote.

Pietersen recently visited the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh to attend an IPL 2024 fixture between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Rajasthan Royals last week.
As he arrived at the city’s airport, the Englishman was left astounded by the newly constructed terminal. The former English skipper shared his opinion of the new airport development on X.
“The Street of Flowers here at the brand new airport terminal in Lucknow. World class! Wow, what an incredible job done by all for this most beautiful state. I’m sure Minister Yogi Adityanath must be super proud! India is BOOMING!”, he wrote.
