Vijay Antony's daughter Meera died in the wee hours of Tuesday, September 19. Tamil stars have come forward to extend their support to the family.

Tamil actor Vijay Antony’s daughter Meera died on September 19, as per reports. The teenager reportedly died by suicide. While Vijay and his family is yet to issue a formal statement regard her death, several Tamil stars have come forward to offer their condolences to the family and extend their support during the actor’s difficult time. Veteran actor R Sarath Kumar took to X (previously known as Twitter) and said he was in shock after learning about Meera’s death.

“The news of the untimely and unfortunate demise of Meera, the daughter of @vijayantony and Fatima is shocking beyond imaginations. No amount of consoling and condolences can replace the everlasting grief of Vijay Antony and Fatima. Vijay, I hope the almighty gives strength to your family to bear this unfathomable loss. May her soul rest in peace #RIPMeera,” he wrote.

Director Karthik Subbaraj also reacted to the shocking death and said he is heartbroken by the news of Meera’s death. “Heartbreaking ???? Stay Strong Vijay Antony Sir & Family.. Deepest condolences & Prayers ????????????????,” he wrote. Venkat Prabhu added, “Woke up to this shocking news! Deepest condolences Vijay Antony Saar and family ???????? RIP Meera.” Actor RJ Balaji said, “Losing a child, it deeply hurts. No words can express the pain and grief. My deepest condolences to him and his family.”

Trigger Warning: As per India Today, she was found dead in the family’s Chennai home at 3 a.m. and was rushed to the hospital. She was declared dead. As per unverified reports, she was under pressure and sought treatment for the same. Vijay and his family are yet to issue a statement about the heartbreaking turn of events. Meera was allegedly found hanging in her house in Chennai’s Teynampet area early in the morning on Tuesday. As per claims, Meera was studying in a private school in the city and was allegedly battling depression. However, News18 couldn’t verify these claims at the time of publishing.
