Singur Fallout: TATA wants wishlist of Nano vendors
TATA is asking that vendors at the new plant site be awarded sops.

New Delhi: There have been fresh developments on the TATA-Nano plant front. Sources have told Network 18 that TATA Motors have asked their vendors for their wish list for the new Nano plant.

TATA Motors will take vendor demands and negotiate on their behalf with the state government. The company is asking that vendors at the new plant site be awarded sops.

In Singur it was TATA Motors which had been the chief beneficiary of the sops awarded by the West Bengal government. The vendors did not get any sops.

As reported last week, TATA Motors has been speaking to several states to shortlist a new venue for the Nano plant.

This time around, the TATAs are trying to get the best deal to make up for the Rs 1,500 crore loss, thanks to the Singur setback. The company is trying to get as much compensation to recover their losses.
