SC takes note of ink attack on Subrata Roy, issues notice to lawyer
The SC has issued a contempt of court notice to Manoj Sharma for throwing ink on the Sahara chief while he was being produced in Court.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday took note of the ink attack that took place on Sahara Chief Subrata Roy outside the court premises on Tuesday. The attack has been seen as an obstruction in the administration of justice.

The apex court has issued a contempt of court notice to the lawyer from Gwalior Manoj Sharma. Sharma had thrown ink on the Sahara chief while he was being produced in the Supreme Court and had also called him a thief.

Sharma was later beaten up by lawyers and other Sahara supporters for attacking Subrata. Flaunting his torn shirt, he confessed committing the act before the media persons gathered in court premises.

Roy along with two other company directors were on Tuesday sent to judicial custody till the next date of hearing on March 11. The detention of the fourth respondent, Vandana Bhargava has not been ordered as she has been given a concession for being a woman Director.

The SC has asked the Sahara group to come up with a proposal to repay the money it owes to its investors.
