Mumbai: The market has ended lower. The Sensex was down 97.68 points or 0.4 percent at 26559.15 and the Nifty slipped 15 points or 0.2 per cent at 8050.80.
About 1162 shares advanced, 1533 shares declined, and 122 shares were unchanged. M&M, Coal India, Reliance, Tata Motors and Axis Bank were top gainers in the Sensex.
Among the losers were Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Hindalco and HDFC.
