Australia will be continuing their World Cup campaign when they take on Pakistan in their next game. The Australian cricket team is synonymous with success, winning five ODI world cups, three of them in a row.
However, in the ongoing edition, the Aussies haven’t quite lived up to their reputation, as they recorded two losses in their first two games. They lost to a Rohit Sharma-led India by six wickets in their opener before conceding another shocking defeat against South Africa in the following game.
Australia were able to get back to winning ways against Sri Lanka, thanks to a couple of crucial innings from Mitchell Marsh and Adam Zampa. They will now be looking to beat the former best-ranked ODI team Pakistan in their fourth fixture.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium will host what promises to be a thrilling clash between Australia and Pakistan on October 20. Pakistan started well at the Asia Cup but soon conceded defeats to both India and Sri Lanka, ultimately crashing out of the tournament. Despite a poor showing in their previous ODI tournament, Pakistan recovered quickly bagging back-to-back wins against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka at the World Cup. They have lost only one game so far and that was to India in their third fixture.
