Bengaluru Tenant Flexes Finding Flat in a Day and People are Jealous of His 'Anti-Peak' Moment
A Bengaluru tenant, who achieved the tag of indulging in a complete 'anti-Peak Bengaluru' moment is making jealous and why!

Hearing about tenants in Bengaluru struggling to find a rented place and the hardships and challenges they face in securing accommodation in this bustling city is a common narrative on the internet. But what’s uncommon is the complete opposite, and that’s precisely what unfolded with a tenant who couldn’t resist boasting about securing a rented flat in just one day, leading to what is being dubbed an ‘anti-peak Bengaluru’ moment that has left many people naturally green with envy!

On a screenshot shared by Saumil Tripathi, the co-founder and CEO of the Grapevine app, on the micro-blogging site ‘X,’ a user on his social marketing and organisational network platform (where users exchange private messages, participate in group chats, and communicate within the company) shared their swift journey. They arrived in Bengaluru on a random Thursday, met with a broker in Koramangala on Friday, finalised the place by Saturday, and even moved into their new residence on Sunday.

Such a lightning-fast process? Well, given their exceptional luck in breaking away from the typical Bengaluru struggles, users on ‘X’ couldn’t help but humourously express their jealousy towards this fortunate tenant.

Take a Look:

“Next week…mon – build a product…tue – launch a startup…wed – raise a seed round…with his luck i’m sure it’s possible,” one user quipped. Another remarked, “Kamal hai ye kabse hone laga banglore me,” expressing their astonishment. A third user pondered, “That’s actually anti-human moment. Either ok with paying a lot of money or compromise for what’s there.”

Some users, however, pointed out that the recent wave of massive layoffs in Bengaluru might be contributing to vacant flats. “Due to layoffs many folks have gone home thus reducing demand for rent homes,” noted one user. Another speculated, “Aren’t these symptoms of recession? (due to layoffs so many people are vacating the houses)…”

In stark contrast to this rare incident, one of the all-too-common scenarios in Bengaluru, due to the alleged rental crisis, is the extreme lengths people are willing to go to secure a place to stay. One such example involved a man who, unable to navigate this crisis, made an unsettling request to a woman searching for accommodation by suggesting, “This is not the correct platform to ask. If you’re ok and single, we can share place for life (upon mutual vibe/respect).”
