Featuring 402 bhp, 660 Nm torque, and 530 km range, it offers advanced safety and luxury features, appealing design tweaks, and fast-charging capability, standing out in the competitive e-SUV market.

Actress Mandira Bedi has added a Volvo C40 Recharge Electric SUV to her garage.

Volvo’s C40 Recharge is essentially an XC40 Recharge revamped with a coupe-like design.

Announcing the news through an Instagram video, the actress wrote, “We have had an EV for 4 years.. and that’s the way forward.. but this one, I am THRILLED to have as a part of our lives!!!! Safest car on the roads and what more could a Mum want for her kids and herself!”

The video shows Mandira, along with her kids, taking the delivery of the new car.

Check out its specifications:

The Volvo C40 Recharge comes packed with a dual motor setup powered by a 78kWh Lithium-ion battery pack. The two electric motors are tuned to churn 402 bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque. The car can go from 0-100kmph in just 4.7 seconds and further to a top speed of 180 Km/h.

The midsize SUV gets a 9-inch Android-based display touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrumental console, slip AC wents, Wood inlays on the dashboard, Dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof. The car is equipped with wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, vegan interiors and more.

Volvo C40 Recharge’s battery can be juiced up from 10 to 80 per cent in 27 minutes using a DC fast charger. It takes roughly 8 hours to fully charge the car with an 11Kw Level 2 AC Charger.

Volvo claims the SUV can go up to 530 Km on a single charge.

On the outside, the C40 Recharge looks similar to the previously launched XC40 Recharge.

It features the same LED headlights with Thor-hammer inlays and 19-inch alloy wheels. The back of the SUV, however, gives it a distinct look. It has been altered to include a sloping roofline, vertical taillamps, a gloss black spoiler contrasting with the body colour, and plastic cladding on the rear bumper.

Other features of the car include a 360-degree camera, ADAS features such as rear cross-traffic alert with brake function, a blind-spot monitor and adaptive cruise control.

Currently, it competes with several e-SUVs available in the market including the BMW iX1, Kia EV 6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Soon it will also compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQA SUV and the new-gen MINI Countrymen E, both of which are expected to arrive soon.

Volvo C40 Recharge is priced at Rs 62.95 lakh (ex-showroom), which is approx. Rs 4.35 lakh more than the XC40 Recharge.
