Mahindra Thar 5-Door Spied Again! All Variants Spotted Together During Testing in India
Despite having the  5 doors in the upcoming model, the off-roader is expected to come with a long list of robust features, which will make it more premium than ever.

It is no longer a secret that the Mahindra is soon to release the 5-door Thar in the Indian market. Ahead of the official launch, which is speculated to take place somewhere around August 2024, all four trim levels have been revealed in the recent spy images.

It has been reported that the four-wheeler will use the Thar Armada nameplate, featuring the same aggressive stance and bold road presence. Despite having 5 doors in the upcoming model, the off-roader is expected to come with a long list of robust features.

Base Variant Features

As per the spy images, it seems like the company might cut some of the features from the base trim, making it more affordable to the target audience. The trim might not hit the market with rear washer and wiper and no alloy wheel. If some rumors are to be believed, the four-wheeler is expected to not even feature disc breaks at the rear. Instead, it will be treated with drum breaks.

Mid and Top Trim

When it comes to the mid and top trim, the customers can expect all the features and elements, which are restricted in the base trim. To attract more customers, some additional features are likely to be included such as an improved touchscreen infotainment system, supported by all wireless car connect technology, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control with AC vents at the back, and push button start/stop among others.

Engine and Expected Price

Under the hood, the 5-door Thar will use the same engine option as the current 3-door version. It will powered by both petrol and diesel engine options. The former will be equipped with 2-litre turbo, while the latter will be treated with a 2.2-litre unit. As far as the price range is concerned, it might cost 15 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards for the base trim.
