Plan in Advance

Routine Check-Up

It goes without saying how important is vehicle maintenance, especially when you are planning a long distance road-trip. Keeping vehicle ready all the time ensures that one doesn’t get stranded during odd-hours on the unknown road and a pre-emptive maintenance goes a long way ensuring yours and your family’s safety. Get the AC gas, fluid levels and coolant checked. Also, maintain the tyre pressure and don’t over-inflate.

Avoid Rush-Hour Traffic

People living in Delhi-NCR are aware of the mess peak office hours create for daily commuters traveling from office to home or vice versa. The same concept applies to holidays or long weekends, that see a lot of people rushing towards hills for some respite from the heat. However, that can be a tricky situation for people going for trip and who wants a trip to start on a bad note. Early morning is the best time to leave a city and late night or the peak hours is the worst time.

Avoid Sudden Temperature Change

Last on our list concerns your personal health and as they say, health is wealth. Who would want to go on a trip with your beloved and fall sick. In summers, a sudden shift from extremely high temperature due to weather, or cold weather due to AC usage can cause you to fall sick. So, if you are leaving your car after driving for hours in AC, open the windows and switch off the AC before reaching destination. If you are getting in the car, roll down windows, and start the AC to throw toxic air out. Also, stack your clothes considering weather in mind.
