Hero MotoCorp Sells Over 1000 Units of Harley-Davidson X440 In India
Since making its premiere in July, the Harley-Davidson X440 has dominated India’s luxury category consumer market.

Following the launch of the X440 in July this year, Harley Davidson began its second innings on the Indian market.

Developed at Hero MotoCorp’s Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) plant in Jaipur, the X440 is a mid-displacement luxury motorbike that rivals many models from Royal Enfield, Jawa, and Honda. It is manufactured by Hero MotoCorp.

On October 17, Hero MotoCorp said that it had already sold 1,000 Harley-Davidson X440s through 100 outlets.

Hero MotoCorp started delivering the bike on October 15. Within a month of its formal launch, the firm reported that over 25,000 vehicles had been booked. The remaining orders, according to the company, should be fulfilled within the following four to five months.

Meanwhile, Harley-Davidson showrooms welcome customers to take a test ride on the X440. Any of these dealerships as well as a few Hero MotoCorp locations across the nation are open to anyone who wishes to book the vehicle. In addition, buyers who wish to escape the showroom bustle have access to an online booking window. The official Harley-Davidson X440 website is the place to make online reservations.

After getting an enormous amount of reservations, Hero MotoCorp had to temporarily stop bookings for the X440. After updating the rates, the bikemaker has resumed taking new reservations. Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson are the first companies to join the 440cc market in India with the X440. Three colour options are offered for the motorcycle: Denim, Vivid, and S.

Harley-Davidson X440 Variant-Wise Price (ex-showroom)

  • Harley-Davidson X440 Denim: Rs 2,39,500.
  • Harley-Davidson X440 Vivid: Rs 2,59,500.
  • Harley-Davidson X440 S: Rs 2,79,500.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is powered by a 440cc, 2-valve, single-cylinder, oil-cooled petrol engine that produces 27bhp and 38Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox is also linked to the engine. Additionally, the bike has an assist and a slipper clutch. The Triumph Scrambler 400 X, Triumph Speed 400, and Honda CB300R are all competitors for the Harley-Davidson X440.
