2018 Nissan Leaf Electric Car to Be Unveiled on September 6
Nissan Leaf is currently claimed to be the world’s largest selling electric car by the manufacturer.

Nissan is all set to unveil its upcoming all-new 2018 Nissan Leaf on 6th September. Nissan Leaf is currently claimed to be the world’s largest selling electric car by the manufacturer. As per the latest video by the company, the new Nissan Leaf will also have ProPilot Parking Technology that uses sonar and cameras to park the park itself, this type of feature is currently available only in luxury cars like Audi Q7 and BMW 730Ld.

The current generation of Nissan Leaf comes with a 30-kWh battery that provides 107-mile range which is quite low as compared to other electric cars of the similar price range such as Chevrolet Bolt EV and Volkswagen e-Golf.

So far the more than 2,60,000 Nissan Leafs have been sold globally but this momentum will not continue indefinitely as Tesla Model 3 has also passed all regulatory requirements for productions and the first 30 customers are expected to get their Model 3s by 28th of July. Tesla Model 3 provides a 215-mile range once fully charged. As far as the price is concerned both are expected to have a similar price of $35000.

Reportedly, Nissan Motor Co. was also in talks with Indian Government bodies and private sector firms to have an overview of the potential market for an electric car in India.

Currently, Nissan’s biggest hurdle is the functionality Leaf’s battery in Indian conditions.
