You’ve probably heard many charming stories about children’s friendships and they’re always entertaining. Watching their adorable actions and listening to their innocent conversations throughout the day can keep you happily engaged. Yet, if a child does something unexpected, it might lead to significant consequences. A similar incident occurred in a family in China.

Children are known for sharing pencils, chocolates, or even one of their valuable toys. However, a 4-year-old boy in China took an unusual approach by gifting his kindergarten classmate an astonishing 20 tolas of gold!

As per the South China Morning Post, the incident happened in China’s Sichuan province, where a young student in kindergarten was so smitten with one of his classmates that he began to imagine a long future with her. To prove his commitment, the boy took two gold biscuits of 100 grams each from home and gifted them to the girl. When the girl reached home with it and showed it to her parents, they were stunned.

In a surprising twist, the girl’s parents took the initiative to reach out to the boy’s parents and shared the full story. The boy’s parents revealed that they had informed their son that the gold bars were kept for his future wife. However, they never expected that the child would give them away to some girl without informing them at all. This incident is now going viral on social media. However, as interesting as it is, it also serves as a cautionary tale.

Stories featuring unusual or adorable behaviour among children frequently gain traction on social media. In May 2023, a young boy in China surprised everyone by giving a gold bangle belonging to his mother to a classmate in his kindergarten. The boy’s mother, shocked by the incident, received a warning from the class teacher to keep an eye on her jewellery after the boy was found gifting it to one of his classmates. When asked about his actions, the boy explained that he wanted to give it as a gift to a girl he had become friends with in kindergarten.

In a similar incident, a young boy from Shanghai’s kindergarten gave a girl a Bulgari ring worth 19,000 yuan (Rs 2,25,150) as a “wedding gift”. When the girl’s parents returned the ring, he sweetly presented her with another handmade ring as a sign of his affection.
