UGC NET December 2023 Result Date Revised to January 17, Check Details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published a notification announcing the date for the National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2023 session results. According to the official statement, the revised date for publishing of the UGC NET December 2023 results is January 17. Upon release, candidates can access their respective results via ugcnet.nta.ac.in, the official website. The UGC NET 2023 results were originally slated to be revealed today, January 10.

The delay in releasing the results is due to a re-examination round for students who were unable to attend the initially planned test date due to flooding and harsh weather conditions triggered by Cyclone Michaung in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh.

On January 3, the answer key, response sheet, and question paper for all subject papers were issued online with the exception of Archaeology. The Archaeology question paper and answer key were given out subsequently. The official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, will allow candidates who applied for this subject to voice their objections until January 10.

Once released, candidates can check the UGC NET results by following the step-by-step instructions.

Step 1: Go to the official UGC NET results website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Find the section for the UGC NET December results, then click on it.

Step 3: Enter the candidate credentials to access your account, such as your application number and birthdate.

Step 4: After logging in, go to the results area to see and download your UGC NET results.

Step 5: Print a copy of the UGC NET December 2023 result for future reference.

The National Testing Agency administered the UGC – NET December 2023 test in 292 cities across the country, covering 83 subject areas, according to an announcement released by the NTA. Between December 6 and December 19, 2023, a total of 9,45,918 applicants took this test.

Following the announcement of the UGC NET results, candidates have to thoroughly examine their scorecards to determine if they fulfil the prerequisites for an Assistant Professorship or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Each right answer will receive two marks in accordance with the marking scheme, and wrong responses will not result in a deduction of marks.
