UGC NET December 2023 Result: Once released, candidates can access their respective results on the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2023 session results today, January 17. Once released, candidates can access their respective results on the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The answer key, response sheet, and question paper for all subject papers were issued on January 3 except for Archaeology which was released at a later date. Candidates were allowed to challenge the answer key up till January 10. The final answer key and results will be released based on the objections raised by the candidates.

This time 9,45,918 candidates had appeared in the UGC NET examination. NTA was examined from December 6 to 19, 2023. It was conducted on 83 subjects in 292 cities across the country. Candidates must note that each question in UGC NET 2023 carries two marks for a correct response. There are no negative markings for incorrect responses. If a question is found to be incorrect and dropped, candidates who attempted it will receive two marks.

UGC NET December 2023 results: How to check scores

Step 1: Go to the official website of NTA UGC NET, which is, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Find the section for the UGC NET December results, then click on it.

Step 3: Enter the candidate credentials to access your account, such as your application number and birthdate.

Step 4: After logging in, go to the results area to see and download your UGC NET results.

Step 5: Print a copy of the UGC NET December 2023 result for future reference.

The results were initially slated to be released on January 10 but were later delayed due to a re-examination round for students who were unable to attend the exam because of flooding and harsh weather conditions triggered by Cyclone Michaung in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh.

Following the announcement of the UGC NET results, candidates have to thoroughly examine their scorecards to determine if they fulfill the prerequisites for an Assistant Professorship or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Each right answer will receive two marks in accordance with the marking scheme, and wrong responses will not result in a deduction of marks.
