Producer Of Shine Tom Chacko's Vivekanandan Viralaanu Responds To Legal Notice Against Film
The complaint against the film noted that it is giving a wrong message to society.

Malayalam film Vivekanandan Viralaanu, directed by Kamal and starring Shine Tom Chacko, released recently. It has not been received that well. Many reviewers are calling it a messy entertainer. The movie has strong feminist undertones and many feel that it has been overused to invoke a forced ‘woke’ feeling. Vivekanandan plays a man who leads two lives in the movie, taking care of his sex addiction, sexist ego, and fears. The women in his life take extreme measures to discipline him because they can no longer put up with his crimes and suffer in silence. The theme of the film has, however, not gone down well with some viewers. Many have found it to be misandrist in nature, targeting males in the society. One viewer has in fact filed a complaint against the film. The complaint is that the film is giving a wrong message to society. The makers of the film have also responded to the complaint.

One of Vivekanandan Viralaanu’s producers, PS Shelliraj wrote on Facebook: “Our movie, Vivekanandan Viralaanu, has become the target of a legal notice from someone who has filed a case in the Hon’ble Kerala High Court. They contend that this film is anti-male and that men won’t be able to go out if women begin to act in this way. With this film, we have never attempted to disparage or mistreat the male population as a whole. Regardless of gender, we believe that the guilty party ought to bear the repercussions."

“It’s no secret that there are individuals in our midst who act like gentlemen on the surface yet treat women like a misogynist. We think that one of the most important things for the growth of the land is to find and bring out such diverse people and to provide our daughters the ability to respond," the post continued. PS Shelliraj ended the post by saying that anyone who is afraid to watch the film is similar to the film’s protagonist Vivekanandan himself.
