Watch: Mahindra Scorpio N-Based Pickup Truck Spotted Testing On Indian Roads
The Mahindra Pickup Truck is expected to be powered by a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine, coupled with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Automobile giant Mahindra and Mahindra, as part of its annual Independence Day extravaganza held in South Africa, unveiled the Scorpio N based Global Pickup concept on August 15.

Mahindra and Mahindra presently utilises the Pikup brand as the model name for its pickup truck based on the Scorpio Classic in international markets.

Now a leaked video indicates that a variant of the pickup truck unveiled in South Africa could be entering the Indian automobile market soon, as a model was spotted testing on Indian roads for the first time.

The automaker has tempered the aggressive design elements seen in the original concept, as evidenced by the test mule. With a central grip on the tailboard, it has a smooth back profile. Notably, the test mule lacks the noticeable Mahindra and Mahindra emblem and has simple tail lamps, which could be changed during production.

Additional changes include standard halogen tail lights that are stacked vertically in an unattractive package in place of the sophisticated LED tail lights. The circular fuel filler cap is located behind the left rear wheel arch. Fuel filling cap was square and located behind the left rear door in design patents. Additionally, we noticed a built-in roll bar for safety, but it gives off the impression of a commercial vehicle.

The Scorpio N Pick Up appears enormous and consistent with these kinds of pickup trucks when it comes to road presence. The four-wheeler’s engine is probably going to be a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel, coupled with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. It will also include a four-wheel drive system. There will be a sizable load capacity for the rear load bed, comparable to competitors.

Coming to the launch of the vehicle in India, the varied terrain in the country provides for perfect testing for a pickup truck like this. If it does come to India, it will lock horns with the Isuzu V-Cross and Toyota Hilux. The Isuzu V-Cross is currently the most affordable pickup truck in India.
