SRK Was at The Archies Rehearsals, Reveals Ganesh Hegde; Says Suhana Had THIS Complaint | Exclusive
Ganesh Hegde reveals Suhana Khan's complaint against him to Shah Rukh Khan. The choreographer lauds her hard working spirit and credits it to her superstar dad.

Suhana Khan’s effortless skating prowess in Sunoh, the first song from The Archies, grabbed the attention of many. Her moves in Va Va Voom and Dhishoom Dhishoom have also led to a whole lot of excitement among the audience, who are waiting to watch her acting onscreen for the first time. Both the tracks have been choreographed by Ganesh Hegde. The choreographer has extensively worked with Shah Rukh Khan on films like Don – The Chase Begins Again, Ra.One and Happy New Year, among many others.

In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Ganesh reveals that Shah Rukh was a part of a few sessions wherein Suhana and her The Archies co-stars were practicing their skating moves. “He came to the rehearsal hall when the actors were practising skating. When he sees something good, he gets very excited and happy and that’s exactly what had happened,” he says.

Talking about the complaint Suhana made against him to her dad, he recalls, “When we took a break, he came to me and told me that Suhana was saying that I don’t compliment her. To this, he said to her, ‘Ganesh has never complimented me. Tujhe kya compliment karega?’”

However, he was pleasantly surprised with Suhana’s moves and fulfilled her desire to be praised by him by the end of the song shoot. “I told her that if I complimented her, she would stop at one 100 percent and I wanted her to push to 150 percent. Once the song was over, I told her why I wasn’t praising her earlier. I also told her about the amazing job she did and she was very happy,” he remarks.

Ganesh also tells us that Suhana had ‘a lot more ease’ than her co-stars and attributed her diligence to her superstar dad, who is known to be a thorough professional. “Suhana had a flair for skating. She was more comfortable than the others. It’s her nature also. She gets to it. She’s very much like Shah Rukh bhai. She’s hell-bent on achieving perfection.”

Lauding her further, he says, “She believes in doing something constantly until she gets the hang of it. I didn’t know how good she was on skates until I saw her. She fell before me three to four times and when asked if she needed a break, she said that she would get on with it. She didn’t worry, she was brave and she knew the grind. She doesn’t ever give up. I still don’t know if she had any formal training when it comes to skating but based on whatever I saw, I think she’s a very hard worker.”

Shah Rukh has been an integral part of Ganesh’s career. In 2005, the Jawan and Pathaan actor launched the dancer’s debut album G. Speaking about him, Ganesh says, “Shah Rukh will always be a mentor and guide to me. I’ve worked a lot with him and in the process, learned a lot from him too. He always inspires people around him and is a bundle of talent. I’ve been fortunate to have worked with him and I feel happy for making him say a ‘wow’ to the work I did with him.”
