London: Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits that he is still interested in signing Bolton Wanderers centre-back Gary Cahill.

The defender had been linked with moves away from the Reebok Stadium throughout the course of the summer transfer window, but stayed at the club after a switch to White Hart Lane failed to materialise.

And having signed one of his main summer transfer targets, Scott Parker, Redknapp has reiterated his desire to reach an agreement with Bolton over a deal for Cahill in the January transfer window.

"My two main summer targets were Scott Parker and Gary Cahill," he said, according to The Sunday Mirror.

"We were able to negotiate a deal with West Ham for Parker, who has been a fantastic signing for the club, but we couldn’t get a deal done for Cahill."

"That’s not to say we won’t try again in January. If the chairman can reach an agreement with Bolton I’d love to bring him here."
