New Skoda Facelift To Get Sharp Design, Global Debut Due This Month
Skoda is expected to launch the Octavia facelift in the Indian market soon after its global release.

The facelift version of the Skoda Octavia is set to make its global debut this month.

Ahead of its official launch, the updated sedan has been teased in a short clip dropped on Skoda’s official YouTube channel.

The Czech automaker has shared several images of the 2024 Octavia across the internet as well, giving insights into its styling and engine configuration.

According to Skoda, the latest model will get mild cosmetic changes, which will offer a modernised look. The company, however, has yet to reveal anything about its features. Skoda is expected to launch the Octavia facelift in the Indian market soon after its global release.

The upcoming Skoda Octavia borrows styling cues from the new generation Superb and Kodiaq. The grille design has been revamped, while the bumpers have also been updated. The headlamps featuring LED units and split LED daytime running lights get an edgy outline. The hexagonal front grille and the side profiles also have sharp outlines, making the look more crisp.

The frontal panel is also expected to be similar to Superb and Kodiaq, which come with column-mounted gear selectors on the steering, digital knobs and a bigger touchscreen for the infotainment system.

The design of the windows has been modified by adding a sleek chrome trim. The tail lights are also expected to see some changes alongside the bumpers, while a revised lettering will be there at the back of the car.

The previously launched models of Skoda Octavia are offered in both petrol and diesel engine options across the international market. The manufacturer might continue with the same combination for this facelift avatar. The 2024 Octavia facelift is expected to feature the same powertrain as the updated Skoda Kamiq. The base version might be powered by a turbocharged 1-litre three-cylinder engine, while the upper ones might be equipped with four-cylinder motors.

Skoda has already discontinued the sales of the Octavia sedan in the Indian market. They currently offer only Slavia in this segment. The model was made available two years ago by replacing the Rapid. If Skoda decides to launch the upcoming Octavia in this country, only the petrol variant will reportedly be available.
